Appearance: pleasant gold-green. Nose: nice ripe citrus fruit here with slight melon aromas, subtle use of oak. Palate: decent fruit and nice weight to the palate – which is lifted by refreshing acidity (the wine only goes through partial malolactic) – with integrated not too high alcohol. Nice length too. Conclusion: well-made for sure. Very clean, moderately oaked Chardonnay. Spends about 8 months on the lees for extra flavour. Most fruit from the cooler Casablanca region with a tiny proportion from old vines in the Maipo. Drink now to 2010. October 24, 2008 | Link to this note
