This is my second review of this wine with a little more attention to detail as this time I sat down with an entire bottle as opposed to a quick, sample tasting. Pouring a straw yellow, this still magnificent Chenin Blanc has fleeting aromas of warm cinnamon, confectioners sugar and straw over an elegant core of buttered quince, apricot and white raisins. Rich and velvety. The palate has a little more lift and zing than the nose, with limey-apple flavors turning towards pepper and apricot on the long, slightly creamy finish. Yep, I still love this.
