Review for Beaune 1er Cru Vignes Franches, Nicolas Potel 2006

edwardragg Wine Blogger December 12, 2008
Appearance: light-medium gold. Nose: lovely savoury oak on first nose, followed by restrained citrus fruit and later more floral and mineral notes. Palate: more richness of fruit on the palate than on the nose at present with lively medium to medium-high acidity (the acidity on the 2006 whites is refreshing) and good length. Conclusion: still a very young wine but one showing lots of promise. Excellent from 2009-10 onwards.
