Appearance: bright light gold. Nose: restrained first nose with hints of pear fruit and rubber. Essentially savoury but not lacking in character by any means. Palate: some pear fruit, but more savoury/nutty flavours with medium-high acidity and balanced moderate alcohol. Quite good length. Conclusion: it’s interesting to taste Macabeo in its purer form (i.e. not oaked as in white Rioja at Reserva level or higher). Fresh, uncomplicated, reliable. Drink now.
