Deep maroonish red with aromas of black cherry, vanilla, chocolate and dark ripe fruit. Big tannins that feel fine on the tongue with a medium acidity. Soft and elegant overall with flavors of cherry, anise and minerals.

Deep inky purple in color. The nose shows anise, minty chocolate, and a rich deep raspberry character. Light funky earth and pencil lead round out this wine. Rich in the mouth with high acidity and firm fine tannins. The palate is expansive and interesting, showing raspberry, black raspberry, anise, some toasted oak, and blueberries. Alcohol is noticeable and a bit strong, but not distracting.
