Appearance: medium gold-green. Nose: gentle citrus fruit with pure mineral and slate aromas. Very appealing now. Palate: lively high acidity which has mellowed a bit – likely to be less acidic than many 2006 Chablis – and lovely integrated mineral fruit. Lovely length too. Conclusion: this is actually a Chablis 1er Cru (Côte de Léchet) and a very stylish wine that is drinking well now (and up to 2012). The acidity is mellowing out but there’s enough there for longer-term ageing. Note: this is my brother's wine, but the M&M range, particularly the 2005s, have been highly rated by Wine Spectator. more August 20, 2008
