TheWhiskerReview has reviewed the Borsao ‘Tres Picos’, Campo de Borja 2007 /5
A nicely rustic Grenache pouring a deep ruby magenta with notes of black cherry, wild raspberry and dried tea leaves. It has a very powerful and penetrating mineral note that is reminiscent of spring water rolling over rocks. That note starts in the nose and lasts all the way through the moderate finish. The palate is a little unbridled- amplified tannin, alcohol and acidity. It's big, ripe and wild.

Appearance: darkish purple-red. Nose: distinct strawberry and red cherry fruit with overt oak and heady alcohol. Palate: bags of fruit here with medium-high coating tannins, hefty alcohol, medium acidity and pretty good length. Conclusion: weighs in at14.5% alc. – the alcohol is a little noticeable, unfortunately – but what it packs in terms of heat is almost made up for with abundant fruit. Needs food. Drink now or to 2010. Not for long keeping.
