Deep dark red in color with a nose that is exotic. Red meat, cardomon, gingerbread, mint, and pepper all mingle with red berries. Firm tannins in the mouth that with time open up nicely. The wine though is odd in that it has a component that reminds me of Oloroso sherry, but in no way do I feel the wine itself is oxidized. Overripe raspberry and some caramel notes, make this a pleasant enough wine to enjoy with roasted meats. August 21, 2007

Syrah, Aragonez, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Alicante Bouchet with 13.7% alcohol. Dark rich maroon color bursting with aromas of black cherry, licorice and black olives. Fine silky tannins with medium acidity. Shows tons of spice and chocolate. Great wine! 4.0 July 30, 2007

Aragonez (80%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), Alicante Bouchet (10%) with 13.7% Alcohol I've just been thrown off my rocker. I tried this wine a month ago and it didn't even remotely carry the same flavor profile as it does now after just few hours of being decanted. Still showing a fabulous bouquet of dark berry and raw meat aromas followed by nuances of black pepper and African spice, while the palate jumped to life becoming rounder and fuller in the mouth. Showed a considerable amount more cassis and dark fruits by the end of the evening. 3.5/5 August 20, 2007
