Yeasty and bready nose with apples and a hint of rose petals. It has a lovely weight and rounded texture to the palate, the bubbles adding a liveliness to it. There is a long and satisfying finish and the overall impression is of a quality vintage champagne. This is really good value. I’d be happy to pay more than twice the 10 GBP it retails for at SAwinesonline.co.uk if it had a vintage champagne label on it. This was tasted amongst a number of other South African sparklers with my daughter’s wedding in mind. As this was head and shoulders above the others this is what we will be using during her wedding celebrations. Can't wait!

botto Never had a sparkling wine from SA, and as far as I can remember, I never saw one at any wine store. Hopefully the soccer world cup will be an opportunity to market their less known wines.
