Purchased at Costco in Tempe AZ, $14.99, 14.5% alcohol. I figured Napa Valley was worth a $15 splurge. Dark, dense ruby garnet color w/ little separation. Deep notes of blackberry, blueberrry & plum on the nose; a swirl or two brings out chocolate, vanilla & mineral. Ripe black fruit flavors & chocolate on the palate, silky tannins & significant acidity. Spice & mineral enter mid-palate and continue in the finish along with fruit and some alcohol. Really good now, but it’s young and should continue to improve!

moose Could be heading for less mineral and a leathery touch, I reckon, if it develops as you predict. Sounds good for it.

Grapefan $15 for a Napa cabernet at 86 points sounds pretty good to me.
