This is the type of shiraz the Aussies are known for - big and brash. Lots of fruit on the nose even before the glass gets near it. Sweet and rich and concentrated. Peppery as well on the palate with great weight from the concentrated sweet fruit. Acid and tannins in balance. A real "in your face" wine and it's either your style - in which case it's a very good wine - or it's not if you prefer something a bit more subtle.

rckr1951 What was the alc in this? You know big wine have their place and I do like them also. This sounds really quite good.

rckr1951 I guess the name is better than The Ladies Who Eat Their Road Kill or something similar.

Great concentration and depth but also balanced with a lovely black fruit intensity on the finish. "not overly ripe, aiming for a more refined perfume and aromatics, allowing the flavours of the region to shine through". Juicy, food-loving palate with hints of mint and underlying spice.
