Appearance: deep gold. Nose: tart spicy nose of raisined fruit – no botrytis here. Fairly complex. Palate: medium-sweet with pleasant high acidity, nice candied fruits and that distinct spicy note of Petit Manseng. Conclusion: very similar to sweet Jurancon (made by the owner of Madiran’s Chateau Montus). Good stuff. August 18, 2008
