Review for Kingston Estate Chardonnay 2005

edwardragg Wine Blogger July 22, 2008
Appearance: medium to deepish gold. Nose: first nose indicates ripe pineapple and peach fruit, touch of oak. Palate: strong fruit, decent acidity, medium-full bodied, warm alcohol and only the suggestion of oak. Conclusion: well put-together. This wine is actually a blend of fruit from Adelaide Hills – the relative coolness of the region helping retain some acidity here – and Riverland (which imparts the stronger fruit flavours and weight on the palate). Drink now.
