Appearance: ruby red to orange brown. Nose: quince, plum jam, some nutty aromas. Palate: medium-high acid, slightly astringent tannin, balanced sugar. Conclusion: as a Colheita, 1986 seems to have been kind to this Tawny which was bottled in 2003 and is very impressive indeed. Rating: 18.5/20
