  Appearance: medium purple-red, touch of orange rim. Nose: quite attractive strawberry fruit with touch of white pepper, gentle on oak. Palate: tight-coating, spiky medium to medium-high tannins, sprightly medium acidity and typically high alcohol. Fairly good length. Conclusion: this was a good expression, but is not for long keeping (at least on the evidence of this bottle). Drink now.
