Appearance: medium red-purple.
Nose: lovely volatile nose showing a mixture of red and black fruits of various descriptions, subtle oak and spicy notes.
Palate: well put-together. Nice acidity here, medium chewy tannins, although this wine seems to have softened out in this bottle and is more developed than other bottles.
Conclusion: we pretty much always enjoy Musar (only 1996 was a bit of a disappointment in recent memory). Very good. Not sure of the exact proportion of grapes to this one in this vintage. This should age well though, although is really very enjoyable now too.
