Bodega Castro Martin Albariño 2006

Delicate pale gold in color wrapped in a light veil of shimmering metallic green. Dipping my little nose into the glass, waves of white hibiscus, light peach flesh, lemon custard and minerals wash over my senses. The wine immediately gives me a feeling of spring, running through newly budding flower gardens and freshly cut grass with a subtle smell of dew in the air. The wine has loads of acidity, feeling like a million tiny pop rocks exploding among a dense lemon cream and white flower finish. Rich, alive and delicious, can I have more please?! Nice light gold color to this perfumed wine. Peaches, white flowers, and slate spring from the glass, with a liveliness that draws me in. Wow, great acidity, zesty and bright with the slightest spritz to it. Lemon and lime notes mingle in the mid-palate while the finish lingers. Great wine, with a nice light to medium body.
