Appearance: very dark purple, clear rim. Nose: myriad black and some red fruits but with black cherry foremost with an overall cocoa/chocolate nose and decent oak to balance. Palate: up-front dark fruit with grainy, coating tannins that gradually creep up on one, high alcohol (15%) that is a little hot on the mouth at present. Good length though. Conclusion: a blend of 62% Malbec, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Syrah, 7% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, this wine is well-made, if lacking a little concentration in the mid-palate.
