Review for Thomas Wines Single Vineyard ‘Braemore’ Semillon, Hunter Valley 2009

edwardragg Wine Blogger September 22, 2010
From the Landmark Tutorial Day 3 (22nd Sept 2010), ‘Semillon’ presented by Andrew Thomas. Appearance: light-medium green. Nose: touch of lanolin, wet wool on the nose, very mineral, followed by a core of delicate lime and green apple fruit. Palate: lovely palate with very pure lime, lemon and green apple fruit, bracing and balanced high acidity, moderate alcohol and terrific length. Conclusion: from 40 year-old vines, a baby. Can be enjoyed as a delicate refreshing white now, but will surely repay considerable cellaring to 2019 and beyond. This is a top Hunter Semillon.
