Review for D. Fuas Garrafeira 1975

    Mesquita April 18, 2011
Considering that this was a 36 year old wine, I was pretty excited about it. As old as myself! When opened, I was deeply surprised by the fact that it was still brown-redish, deep and somehow enigmatically lovely. On the palate one could feel notes of raisinsm typical of Port wine, caramelized, with old barrique flavour, spicy, and a lovely vanilla after taste coming from the natural cork, who faithfully fulfilled its beautiful mission of letting us taste history. It was an unforgettable experience!
