Quando o exército francês invadiu Portugal, no inicio do século XIX, na região montanhosa de Boticas (perto de Chaves) os seus habitantes enterraram o vinho para este não ser pilhado. Anos mais tarde, quando os franceses foram repelidos, ao recuperarem o vinho constataram que este tinha ganho características, mais cor e um leve gasoso. Assim nasceu o vinho dos mortos, que hoje é produzido apenas por um produtor. Tipo palhete. Uma cor entre o vermelho e o rosa. Frutos vermelhos no nariz, morangos, cerejas. Taninos um pouco agrestes. Leve gasoso. Curioso e diferente.

moose Muito curioso e diferentes! Good story. The 'Lines of Torres Vedras' were part of my history education at school - this has to be the most extraordinary name for a wine.

Aroma com fruta vermelha (principalmente morango) intensa. Algumas notas de terra. Na boca fruta vermelha. Ligeira acidez e pequena gaseificação. Acaba mais por ter interesse pela história do que pelo liquido em si.
