  Appearance: dark purple to black. Nose: intense blackcurrant and blackberry fruit with savoury oak. A powerful nose that combines puissance with restraint. Complex. Palate: medium-high coating tannins, only medium acidity (but enough), high alcohol (but this is well-balanced with the fruit and oak here). Long. Conclusion: this is clearly a very good wine which captured the 2003 heat but has borne it well. Drink now to 2013, perhaps beyond.
