This is a big juicy red fruit nose with just a hint of dark chocolate and vanilla in the background. I also pick out notes of black licorice and violets that tease you right back into the glass. In the mouth, the wine is silky on the tongue with with medium acidity spiking in the back palate and good fruit flavors. Loads of chocolate, dusty black raspberry, and earthy spice lingers to a long, yet vibrant finish. Fun, yet bold, little win.

Fat nose of pure fruit, and a light dusting of vanilla on the nose. Sweet violets, and light bacon fat round it out, though this pulls me and while modern is none the less elegant on the nose. In the mouth this is full of fruit, medium to high acidity and fine, though light tannins. Great black raspberry notes, mingle with faint wood and touches of spice. Refreshing on the finish though lingering...looking forward to this with a rich stew.
