Made from 80 year old vines, wild yeasts are used for the fermentation. Half the wine spends 4 months in barrel, and is then blended with its unoaked partner. Platinum color. Very dense and rich aromas of citrusfruits, minerals, and panfried butter - quite impressive. Its full bodied on the palate with a sublime acidity that adds to the structur. This wine shouts out for food, but if you are a little geeky, you can revel about it on its own. It is a bone-dry wine, and truly expresses its terroir. This is one of the real dense wines that touches the drinker deep down. I am in awe at this effort.

andre 80 year old vines ask for respect! What a wine it must have been!

elloinos Very nicely put Andre - certainly not a wine to gulp down, it truly speaks and at 13 Euros is a bargain for the pleasure it gives.

bjwdad It sounds phenomenal, and since I'm a geek I'd certainly enjoy it on its own. Anyone know of its availability in the U.S.?

elloinos Winebow in the US have Gaia in their portfolio, not sure if the Wild Ferment is imported, it is a new entry.
