One of the darkest coloured wines I have encountered, bordering on black, inky with a purple rim. Aromas of cassis, black berries, tealeaves and truffels. Very rich on the palate, has dense tannins that are nicely coupled with a fair amount of acidity. Still quite tumultous with an ambitious structure. Needs rich and heavy food. Finishes great with some bitterness that does not come across in a negative way. Surprised that this apparently still needs some more years of cellaring.
