Appearance: medium green-gold. Nose: marked Sauvignon Blanc first nose with gooseberry and guava notes, but also some lemon and mineral aromas. Palate: plenty of fresh, well-integrated acidity here with decent fruit and a richer mouthfeel than expected because of the Semillon. Conclusion: this wine is actually 51% Semillon and 49% Sauvignon Blanc, of which the Sauvignon is most prominent on the nose and Semillon more on the palate. A lovely blend. Drink now or age up to 2009.   October 28, 2008 | Link to this note
