Back to the sunset colour of the Burmester Colheita 1989. Some wood flavours but also honey. Beautifully textured, with cleaving acidity across the palate and on the finish. Sweeter than some other Colheitas, perhaps. Marvellous length – like the River Douro, it goes a long way. Of course 1963 was an outstanding Port vintage!
