Appearance: dark purple-red. Nose: intense first nose of tight black fruits, savoury oak and the lush generosity of Angélus, but in a slightly closed state. Palate: ‘lush and plush’ with ripe blackcurrant, black plum and black cherry fruit with medium-high chewy tannins, medium acidity and prolonged length. Conclusion: not quite in harmony yet, but will age beautifully. This is clearly a very high quality wine, but needs time, of course. Drink 2015 onwards.
