Possibly waiting a year to long to drink this, but that is what a cellar is for - to hold a test wines. You win some and you lose some. However, in this case I'd say it's a victory. Sterling is money in the bank with their SB's...at both this level and the SVR. Both consistantly go from the mid good to the mid very good range yearly. In the glass this is a little darker than when young. Up front you get lemony/lime, citrus and a slight oaky nuance. On the tongue - well what you smell is what you get with a little more creaminess from the oak plus a little spice. A pleasant quaffer that is more for everyone on the deck for a quiet evening than not. Paul

Grapefan There is an interesting lesson here as if I saw a Napa 06 SB on the shelf I'd avoid it. There are so many other SB producers from good SB regions around the world to risk the purchase.
