Wines Spots Sonoma Coast Syrah is a cool climate Syrah with lush blue fruit, cassis, hints of white pepper & herbs with fine tannins. An elegant wine with a long spicy finish. Rhone-like white pepper & spice with California intensity. One of the nicer California Syrah wines that I have tasted. Food pairing - lamb chops, steak

Spicy and lush without too much oak. A bit more restrained than a lot of California syrahs these days which I find to be frequently overextracted. This one is very food-friendly. I pick up pepper, wild herbs, a bit of leather and mineral that gives it a nice earthiness. Tannins are present but not overpowering. An elegant wine that I would buy and drink again.
