Review for Springfield Estate ‘Life from Stone’ Sauvignon Blanc, Robertson 2008

edwardragg Wine Blogger February 25, 2009
Appearance: light-medium green. Nose: ripe even peachy Sauvignon Blanc nose that becomes stony and more mineral with aeration. Its fruit is more in the peach/guava line than gooseberry-dominated. Palate: quite rich mouthfeel, quite extracted fruit with characteristic high acidity, medium-high alcohol and good fruit. Conclusion: this is a well-made Sauvignon Blanc that is powerful in style and most certainly requires food. Good. Drink now.
