Inky purple, almost black color. Beautiful nose of blackberry and lavender. Full bodied wine, still quite tannic with a thick and silky mouth feel. On the palate it is vinous with flavors of black cherry and blackberry, supported by oaky/vanilla notes and some black pepper. This is a bold wine, you better don't mess with it, or it will kick back. Not overly complex, it pairs with roasted and grilled lamb, beef and hard cheese (retail $14.99)
