Note for Subsídio 2006

Crystal clear dark rose in color leading to a dusty rose rim. Nice dried red flowers on the nose, with hints of rhubarb and dusty attic. In the mouth, the wine is tight with gripping tannins and a subtle acidity that only peaks out near end of the finish. Although a little hollow on the palate, this is a good simple wine that would pair beautifully with a cold Mediterranean pasta salad. October 1, 2008 | Link to this note
