A deep red color, with aromas of dark berries, smokey oak, vanilla and a slight hint of white pepper. The palate was tangy and some spice along with dark berries, vanilla and wood smoke. IMO we drank this to young. A dark crimson in the glass. Smokey oak with blackberry and vanilla on the nose. This wine is going through a morph phase. The oaky spice and vanilla notes on the tongue are just really starting to develope and will balance the smokiness well in about 12-18 months. Good length, good bottle of wine.
