A stunning masquerade of a wine. Not a hint of the amazing juice in bottle on the label, not even a grape. Double oh 7 here. Looking for M (mature wine in this case.). Mission accomplished. A rusting amber in the glass with a nice ring around the glass. Tremendous aromas. First thing - freshly cut red cedar, forest floor and carmelized sugar (think creme brulee) and leather. Muted fruit as in old style Amarone, but dark berry fruits showing none the less. On the tongue, dark truffle, herbs and cloves with cedar cigar box, coffee truffle (is that possible?) go with large tannins and bright acidity. This needs largely spiced, jazzy beef dishes - peppercorn Chinese beef, mexican steak and the like. Extremely well done - Paul

rckr1951 I tasted this more than 5 years ago at Trigg's Cellar 70. Didn't think much of it though it was intriguing at the time. This is the 2nd and last of 2 bottles purchased. Developed tremendously over the years.
