A very appealing young white (young both in character, and intended to be drunk young). Fresh & fragrant, with aromatic varietal components. Medium body; neither slight nor full. Lemony citrus, aromas of lychee, slight bitter almond, abundant acidity, with floral & fruity mouthfeel, reflecting lime zest. Light, crisp & clean. Food Pairing: Cucumber soup, salade Nicoise, flaky white fish with lemon dill sauce. Price point 10-14

Pale banana yellow, this wine is a tropical fruit explosion on the nose...pinapple, mango, kiwi and banana swirl amongst the fresh croissant aromas. As it hits your palate those same tropical notes are echoed, yet the toastiness is much more pronounced. This wine lingers and begs for a toasty chicken and vegetable pie or even some freshly baked grain bread with New England clam chowder.

rckr1951 Sweaters, bonfires and a clambake sounds good also.

A bright fresh nose of ripe green apples and granite; on the palate a slight toastiness warms the mouth while the same luscious apple tart filling lingers. Balanced out with just enough citrus acidity, this wine hits all the tongues pleasure centers. Pairs well with Chicken, apple and honey glaze over steamed rice.

Pale, tanzanite yellow with notes of straw, stone fruit and an underlying minerality. On the palate the effervenscence of the bubbles fill your mouth in a shower of delicate apples, pears and a hint of lemon peels. Like a string of pearls in its subtle yet refined appeal...Pair with oysters topped with lemon juice and a pinch of horseradish.

Another revist fromn the cellar...nice brown, cola color with a toasted walnut and stewed fig nose. Goes down so smooth...hard to put down! Drink by itself but while it is hard to write down, I feel this would be great with a ice cream sundae and a maraschino cherry on top!

Revisiting this Italian wine and getting some interesting characteristics. Get an unmistakeable whiff of roasted chili peppers on the nose with some black pepper sprinkled on top. Rich flavors of tobacco and tar accompany the mild tannins. This is a really well put together wine and isn´t too austere to drink now...plus did we mention it is fermented in an old Etruscan tomb? Pair with braised venison in a port reduction sauce.
