I love wines like this, low alcohol, clean fresh nose, and a palate full of fruit, minerals and spritzy acidity. A touch of round cream at the finish tidies it up nicely and I think I might have found the perfect summer sipper. Basque country is making some great wines as of late, ones like this are proof!

Bit woody on the nose, but really a pretty nose with some nice violets and great red fruit. Opening it I was a bit disappointed but it seems to be opening further with some nice spice. In the mouth very fine tannins with nice fruit. A bit tart, but full of flesh and opportunity. If you do happen to grab a bottle, let it sit for another 4-5 years. Really should be nice with some time.

Pure orange perfume nose. Palate that is balanced by amazing acidity and lovely unctuous texture. Perfect end of the night treat, of which a note will do no good. Just buy a bottle and woo some women! :)

Funky strawberry fruit to this puppy with a nice weedy mineral underbelly. Not to mention touches of smokey herbs. In the mouth this wine is alive and zesty, with a very light body but some nice elegant fruit. Finish ends a touch bitter, though wouldn't call it unpleasant. Strawberry comes to mind though seems to wander way as I'm trying to start a conversation with it, leaving me with a fields of bitter greens. That said this is a pleasant wine, that I look forward to watching develop over the course of the evening.

rckr1951 As I was reading this I was thinking pinot without knowing that's what it was. To me, and it's only my opinion, this sounds like some of the Marlborough, Aussie pinots I've had, except that this seems to have the ability to come back. I had several that left the park period.

Big fat nose full of red fruit and woody minerals? Petrified wood! :) In the mouth very fresh and lively with a bright acidity and full body. Really great fruit on this and I have to say a couple of years laying down did a lot for this wine. Rounded it out and softened the wood. Can't wait to pair this with some food.

rckr1951 A couple of my favorite grapes. Good idea to lay it down also. Good review.
