Even thought the evening was chilly by the time we drank this it was truly wonderful. Pouring a dark, inky cherry juice. On the nose (After warming in the glass by the fire.) Ripe blackberry, with warming chocolate, smokey oak, black plum, spice and black cherry. The dominant rounded, black cherry tannins really frame and define the wine for a lengthy easy aftertaste - almost lush with aging. The spice and acidity add a little zip with the chocolate poking around here and there. Wonderful wine. Drink now through 2016. Paul

What a blast!! Upon opening large lemongrass, grapefruit, passion fruit and melon. The lemongrass is big, but after opening fully the grapefruit became the main player. On the palate, this is more NZ than Napa Valley. Larger than life grapefruit here (totally unexpected), white pepper, melon - this jumped up quite a bit, lemongrass, citrus fruit and great acidity give a strong lingering aftertaste. Drink now - however, this might be able to sit for 2-3 years. Paul
