I operate where broadcast, mobile and Web 3.0 overlap, examining how digital storytelling is taking a hold thanks to the emergence of new and relevant technology. I have been excited about completing a media lab in Benin that is testing out relevant technology in Africa, especially as we have been concentrating on energy efficient ways of operating community media in that region. But, most of all, I have met some incredibly inspiring people on my travels. I have a heritage in traditional broadcasting (1980-2003) working mainly in the international broadcasting sector. I produced and hosted Radio Netherlands' Media Network programme from 1981 to 2001 when it switched to a web-only production.
Introduced to serious wine drinking by media correspondent Mike Bird in Melbourne, Australia.
