On the nose, the wine is a dead ringer for Garnacha Tintorera, showing dark and mature purple fruit among a sea of floral notes. the palate, on the other hand, is a second dead ringer for Monastrell, with black earth, black fruit and bone dry finish. In short, for those who love these grapes, you'll thoroughly enjoy this one, but sadly, to date, I'm still not one of them.

Love the nose on this wine. Dark leathery notes with rich dark cherry, old world nose with loads of chocolate and dark earth. In the mouth, it's a little lighter, delicate and less pronounced. Gentle red fruits with a touch of vanilla. Simple, straightforward and enjoyable.

This is a powerful wine, a wine with distinction, class and a bit of sassiness on the finish. She's persistent, educated and cultured. She's the real deal. Give her some butter roasted chicken, seared salmon or just go straight for a massive bowl of vegetable green curry. No matter what you throw her direction, she's seduce the hell out of you. I think I'm in love!

On the nose, the wine shows black pepper, dark earthy cherry notes with a swirl of shoes polish. For some this polish note may not be your charming characteristic, but for me, it's a lovely aroma of childhood moments spent with dad after applying the shoe horn and before expertly tying up his shoelaces. In the mouth, however, the wine doesn't completely integrate as beautifully as the nose does, with a slightly jarring acidity on the back palate. However, the tannins are medium soft with a slightly chalky texture, a round lush mouthfeel and a black cherry and chocolate finish. Overall, not a bad wine, but not completely harmonious either. Curious how time will play upon this wine.

Have you ever walked down the street and smelled the very faint aroma of spring? A light, fresh and invigorating smell that makes you feel like skipping, dipping into a bubbling spring, drinking a long glass of lemonade or wrapping your teeth around a juicy honeydew melon? This is exactly what you'll find on the nose, with the addition of a bready, almost flor like note, but the palate lacks that same vivacity for life. It's a touch more demure, private, reserved, hesitant to come out of its skin - showing just a touch of citrus and honey. Though admittedly, I'm eager to find other examples of this very intriguing little grape.

Delicate nut and bread note on the nose that reminds me fresh roasted baguettes we'd bake during the holidays. Accompanied with a bright citrus aroma that lingers at the edge of a minerally pool. The palate is less pungent, appealing to the more demure among us. More lemon and slate flavors dance upon small, fast paced bubbles searing with acidity. This is a cava that demands grilled fish accompanied by roasted baby red potatoes in a rosemary rub and smothered in garlic...or maybe that's just what I'm craving :)

Crushed fall leaves linger on the nose with funky attic and dried red fruit aromas swirling close behind. Elegant, sophisticated and enticing, its a wine that fills your senses with desire yet demands your respect and attention. Round, silky tannins with gentle acidity, it calls for nothing other than your appreciation. Gorgeous!
