Cor bordeux escuro e algo turvo. Bastante bonito.
No aroma apresentou-se muito fechado. Madeira ligeira, chocolate negro e frutos vermelhos, mas sempre muito difícil de se notar alguma coisa.
No sabor é muito suave mas também muito fechado. Enche pouco a boca e tem final curto (talvez demasiado). Seca um pouco a boca e deixa um travo agradável de chocolate amargo.
Foi um vinho que não se revelou facilmente e não quis mostrar o que tinha para oferecer (ou então não tinha nada).

Nice vegetal nose with some red fruits too. Interesting astringent mouth. Needs more time to open up! Can't wait to try it in 60 minutes!

A purely feminine wine with soft and gentle notes of cherry and cassis wrapped in silky veil of minerals, forest floor and wet earth. In the mouth, it's delicate, yet firm, round tannins intermix with its medium acidity and long dark fruit finish. If I could anthropomorphize this wine, I would say it shows the gentle and coy demeanor of Audrey Hepburn with a sassy hint of Penelope Cruz.

Nice cherry nose with some cedar, pencil lead, and cassis. Really a nice nose that seems to be developing with more time in the glass. In the mouth a wine with nice juicy fruit, and medium acidity. Light tannins coat, but are really not effecting the palate much. Pure fruit, with a touch of wood, and some light herbal note. Great lighter red, for a nice roast chicken.

De cor bordeux brilhante, opaco e agradável à vista.
No aroma fumeiro forte mas agradável. Uma madeira muita ligeira. Parece um pouco pesado mas fica-se com vontade de o beber.
No sabor aparece suave. Enche meia boca e é algo amargo. Alguma compota e pêra madura ligeiros.
Um vinho pouco consistente em que o aroma é muito melhor que o sabor e não coincidem. Um pouco desiludido no final.

Dusty gravel nose with nice chokecherry(from childhood) fruit pavement below! The nose is very mature and complex considering the price. In the mouth the wine is a bit thin, though has some nice herbal qualities that mingle with a layered cherry palate. Alcohol shows a touch but never gets in the way, and with all the minerals on the palate, it really is a wine that bears more interesting meats. I really want this with some Jabali(spanish wild boar).

De cor bordeux clara e bonito.
Aroma suave e com notas adocicadas (a lembrar açúcar). Alguma madeira ligeira e toque a baunilha muito suave mas agradável.
No sabor é algo adocicado demais. Enche meia boca e tem um final curto. Presença de frutos negros, sem madeira no sabor mas um toque a baunilha.
Um vinho equilibrado e consistente, mas onde se nota demasiado o álcool. Foge um pouco ao meu gosto.

The wine immediately hold back in resistance to showing its true colors, though hinting of dark red fruits, medicinal herbs and slate. In the mouth, the wine has good acidity, fine tannins and a medium long dark fruit finish. This wine, like many Douro reds, is a great wine to pair with food, but not necessarily to sip alone in silent contemplation of worldly matters. 2hours later: the wine does eventually open up, allowing more fruit and mineral to come out, but the alcohol still remains present on the finish.

Dark color on this wine with a rich meaty nose that shows touches of minerals around the edges. Needs some time to open up and develop. In the mouth fresh acidity with medium tannins and some heat on the finish combine for complexity, though still a bit rough. This is a wine that people who want power with food friendliness. Good fruit on the finish and a nice wine overall for varied menus.

Cor escura e muito carregada.
Aroma a frutos negros fortes e alguma terra. Algo adocicado no aroma e com fumeiro forte.
No sabor enche pouco a boca mas tem uma boa persistência. No final da boca fica uma nota a chocolate amargo assim como cerejas pouco maduras. Uma ligeira acidez não o beneficia.
Vinho consistente mas que podia estar mais bem elaborado.

A nice layered nose to this - dark fruits, sour cherries, olives and something herbal. The palate shows the black fruits along with some peppery spice and reasonable acidity but its all a bit one dimensional. The tannins are very much in the background and the finish is quite short with the alcohol showing up a bit hot. In conclusion a wine that promised much on the nose but failed, for me, to deliver on the palate.

Dark and earthy, with rustic aromas of sour cherry, mineral, wet earth and bitter chocolate, followed by an enticing layer of freshly cut mint. In the mouth, the wine coats your palate with medium fine tannins, good acidity and rich dark fruit. And despite a touch of heavy handedness on both the oak and alcohol, the wine shows good integration and balance.

Sour cherry nose with some nice chocolate and spice. Full in the nose and richly layered. In the mouth a full wine, with good acidity and medium light tannins. Lot's of acidity keeps this wine surprisingly fresh, probably some added acidity, and if not some great wine making. Oak is present but not overpowering with a nice rich chocolate, and dark fruit profile. The alcohol is a bit too strong on the finish for me, but not overwhelming.

Powerful wine, beautiful Portuguese style. Lots of red fruit. It's sure a wine made in the Alentejo wine region full of heat. The mouth is a bit less powerful but still very enjoyable. Would love to taasting with food!

Not only dark in color, but this wine shows big black fruit aromas surrounded in a dense smokey haze with undercurrents of slate, anise and charred wood. Succulent, sensuous and elusive on the palate, it shows great acidity, good structure and enough complexity to ponder its flavorful existence. The true gem of this wine, however, is despite its larger than life presence, it's approachable and capable of standing on its own over the course of an evening. I'd suggest that this may also be a daytime wine, but unless you're eating a juicy roast by the fire, it's dark enveloping personality screams for a long, luxurious conversation well into the morning hours.

Pasty meaty nose of red fruit, fat and unctous with minerals dusted on top and a light breeze of green herbs. While the palate shows great freshness, and a just off the tree cherry quality. Juicy and alive. Soft tannins are there to give balance, but not really a major player. Overall quite nice on the tongue and a finish which lingers. Love this for a lounging about red wine. Puts a smile on your face with the great fruit and yet doesn't demand anything from you. Well done

E pela segunda vez provo este vinho.
Cor bordeux clara e algo transparente.
Aroma com fumeiro ligeiro e madeira. Muito suave e toque a frutos vermelhos.
No sabor enche bem a boca (até mais de meio). Tem um bom final que se prolonga deixando a boca algo seca. Nota-se no sabor o fumo ligeiro e frutos negros abundantes. No final nota-se alguma acidez.
Um vinho equilibrado e bem elaborado.
Fiquei com quase a mesma impressão que anteriormente apesar de ter notado mais coisas desta vez. Continua a ser um vinho que vale a pena.
